How To Unlock Moto E Bootloader
Step 1 : Please note that unlocking the bootloader will wipe all data present on your Moto E. We advise you that you take backup of your entire data, such as 3rd party apps.
Step 2 : Download the AndroidSDk or Minimal ABD and FAstboot too on your computer.
Step 3 : Also install Motorola USB drivers on your computer.
Step 4 : Enable enable USB debugging on your Mote E 2015.
Step 5 : Then Move to the phone Settings >> Developer options and enable OEM Unlock option.
Step 6 : Boot your Moto E into Fastboot mode:
There are two ways to Fastboot you Device:
- Turn off the phone and then press and hold Volume down + Power buttons together.
- Connect Moto E to computer, launch a command (window shift+f10), type the command given below and press the Enter key:

Step 7 : Now connect your phone to computer using the USB cable provided by the OEM.
Step 8: Launch command prompt window:
- If you have installed the Android SDK in your computer, then go to android/sdk/platform-tools/ folder and launch a command prompt by pressing the Shift + Right mouse click and selecting Open command window here option.
- If in case you have Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool in your computer, unzip the file and open the extracted folder and launch the command window by by pressing the Shift + Right mouse click and selecting Open command window here option.
Step 9 : Copy/paste the following command in the cmd(command window):

Step 10 : You will get a return string in the command window. Copy it (Right click the mouse, select Mark option and then highlight the string by the mouse, and then copy).
Step 11 : Paste the copied in a word and remove the empty spaces which is given in the string.
Step 12 : Now open the Motorola website. Sign in with your Google account or Motorola ID.
Step 13 : Now paste the copied string into the text field and then click “Can my device be unlocked?”
Step 14 : You’ll see a “REQUEST UNLOCK KEY” button at the bottom of the page.
Step 15 : Check the “I Agree” option
Step 16 : Your Unlock Key will be generated and email will be sent from that website to you.

Step 17 : Copy the 20-character unlock key and launch the cmd again. Make sure that your phone is still in Fastboot mode and connected to the pc/laptop. To ensure that the device is still connected, type

Step 18 : Now past the following command in the command window (replace “UNIQUE_KEY” text with the 20-character unlock key:

Step 19 : Press Enter key to move further then the bootloader unlock process.
Step 20 : When the all this set have gone successfully, then you device will reboot and you would see Bootloader Unlocked warning while your device boots up.
Step 21 : In case you change your mind any time later and want to re-lock the bootloader, you can use the following command:
